Earth Plaza (Kanagawa Plaza for Global Citizenship)

Earth Plaza（Kanagawa Plaza for Global Citizenship）was established by Kanagawa Prefecture in 1998 and has the following 3 aims
1. cultivate a richness of emotion in children
2. create an awareness of being a global citizen
3. give support for international activities

Shonan Academic Research Center

The Center contributes to the world from the local community, and in order to be involved in the development of local society, it promotes research projects focusing on the humanities and social sciences. It then develops human resources and exchange programmes using the accumulated knowledge from research results and other research and training institutions.

Kanagawa Prefectural International Training Center

The Kanagawa Prefectural International Training Center was established by Kanagawa Prefecture in 1987 for use as accommodation and training for overseas technical trainees. The Training Center is managed by KIF and implements various programmes for the trainees such as Japanese language study, orientation for daily life, outside training, and exchange projects with the local community.

20 mins. walk from the North Exit of Futamagawa Station on the Sotetsu line，or from Bus stop no. 1 at the North Exit, take the Sotetsu bus in the direction of Untenmenkyoshikenjojunkan and get off at Nakao machi, then walk 1 min.

57 rooms (including 38 for use by exchange students) and training rooms and meeting rooms for registered groups

Kanagawa International Dormitory for Students Shirane / Fuchinobe

To support privately financed overseas students living or studying in Kanagawa Prefecture, and contribute to human resources development, dormitories were established in 1990 in Asahi-ku, Yokohama and in 1991 in Fuchinobe, Sagamihara. KIF has been commissioned to manage the facilities.
The facilities do not only serve as accommodation for exchange students, but also implement unique programmes as a basis for international exchange with the local community and information exchange.
